A Stop off at the Antiques Garage in NYC and This "n' That Vintage Costume Jewelry Shop!

Recently during a romp through Chelsea, I stopped off at long running (since 1994 with 100+ vendors) Antiques hot spot, the Antiques Garage in NYC.  It is located on 25th between 6th and 7th Avenues and housed in a real parking Garage. There is 2 floors of Hunting Fun. From Television Bulbs to Vintage Gay Mags there is a bit of everything there.

Vintage Clothing and Coats

I was lucky to find a nice pair of Vintage cuff links for my best Friend Raul. He Loves cuff links and this pair was very unique. They were made of Rosewood with painted stripes of orange, yellow and red.  The Vendor told me she had them for 30 years and she believed they were from the 1950s.

I know, this is a bad picture....but I guess you can get an idea
of what the Garage is like anyway.
Just next door, there is a lovey Vintage Costume Jewelry shop called This "n" That and it is very, This and That. They had a bit of, well you know This "n" That!

This "n" That Jewelry & Collectibles - 124 West 25th Street NYC

The 2 Gals in there were very lovely, well one was very lovely, the other was on the phone arguing with someone that seemed like a family member. It was all very entertaining.

A tray of Bakelite jewelry .
It is a very small shop and they have items on top of items in trays and they move the trays to get things out of the cabinet and then you have to step back a bit so that when they take a tray out it doesn't smack you in the face. I couldn't believe the variety.  There were lots of Bakelite bangles, rings and earrings. Cameos, Rhinestone Brooches, earrings and necklaces. Sterling rings and Marquisite, Victorian and Contemporary. They also carry Fixtures, mirrors, salt and Pepper shakers, Glassware, Pottery and 50's Kitch.

Even though the shop is small, they have the largest Vintage inventory of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, rings and brooches that I have ever seen in one place.
All Sorts of Goodies on the wall.
So, if you are planning a day at the Antiques Garage, stop on over to This "n" That, it is defiantly worth it.  Oh, and if you can't make it in to Manhattan, you can visit their online store Chelsea Antiques New York.

The Antiques Garage is part of the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market   which has 2 other locations for Flea Market fun.

Thank you for reading and have a Fab evening!   Gina
